Indy Deaf News, a weekly e-mail newsletter, was founded by Robert “Bob” Canty in late 1990′s in response to a real need in the community for information sharing and announcing events. Bob worked for many years without any pay to maintain this list for the Deaf and signing community.
After Bob Canty passed away, Indiana Association of the Deaf purchased and has agreed to continue the weekly newsletter serving the Deaf and signing community. Beatrice Pfaff is the current interim Editor along with a committee including Brance Long, Wanda Kirby, Aileen Vasquez and Marvin Miller.
